Silverback Gorilla CampThe camp is located in Buhoma in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and offers accommodation for those who want a unique and affordable travel experience. We offer spacious and airy tent with verandahs, en-suite with showers and toilets as well as a large comfortable dining room, bar cum lounge.At the camp you are able to go on a hike, go bird-watching or fishing, go track gorillas, visit the nearby traditional healers and pygmy village or just unwind, relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Whatever your choice we are sure that it is going to be a memorable experience.

The camp is a project of Conservation Through Public Health, Uganda’s only non-profit organization that is working to prevent and control disease transmission in and around protected areas where wildlife, people and their animals meet. Al the camp fees go to supporting our work.

  • Tour the CTPH Gorilla Clinic, our pioneering solar-powered research lab located just 20 metres from the camp, and also get to know the history behind the construction off the clinic.
  • Hear a presentation on health threats to the Mountain Gorilla population from one of our experts and learn how CTPH is addressing them.
  • Visit out solar-powered internet cafe where you will receive a guest discount on internet access and on all souvenirs purchased from our store.
