The Old Budonians Club congratulates the following members on their recent achievements:
Prof Apolo Nsibambi, 1952-59, (head prefect 1958), on becoming the first non-head-of-state chancellor of Makerere.
Lt-Col Silver Kalongo, 1973-74, on becoming commandant of Mbuya Military Hospital.
Kabumba Busingye, 1999-2000, on getting the first prize of the US African American of the month.
Rev Steven Shalita, 1983-89, on being ordained for the tent-making ministry in the Church of Uganda.
Rev. Can. Dr John Senyonyi, 1973-74 on becoming deputy vice-chancellor of the Uganda Christian University.
James Tumusiime, 1971-72, on successfully chairing the Third Pan African Conference on Reading for All.
Dr. Gladys Kalema, 1984-85, on launching the Conservation Through Public Health Civil Society Organisation to conserve wildlife and protect people against diseases that spread from wildlife.
Dr Peter Mugyenyi, 1965-69, on getting the Chicago award of "Honouring Our Heroes 2003" from the International Physicians in AIDS Care for his work at the Joint Clinical Research Centre.
